I specialise in Alternative Firing techniques which include Obvara, Raku, Saggar, and recently, wood firing.
I think it’s the serendipity of all of these processes that really attracts me. The excitement of never knowing exactly what you’re going to get. The buzz of seeing something completely unexpected. The sense of wonder when it all works out - despite the odds. The fact that all the pieces produced like this are unique and can never be repeated.
Most of the ceramics on this site are available from my Studio in the Northern Rivers town of Mullumbimby and if there’s something specific you don’t see that you’d like, just flick me an email as I love making things to order.

My formal qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma in Education along with a Diploma in Ceramics and an Advanced Diploma in Visual Arts, majoring in ceramics. at Lismore TAFE. But it’s the fact that I just love working in my Studio in the fantastic medium of clay that has taught me the most!
